THREE MONTHS STRONG!

The site is based on the lives of original characters who are sports entertainers / athletes. Beautiful Strangers has a more character-based approach. It dives deep into the stories on a wrestler's life both on and off-screen.

Set in the backdrop of a wrestling promotion, Worldwide Wrestling Force or the WWF, we will provide avenues for characters to be portrayed in different perspectives and platforms. From the on-screen persona often called as "gimmicks", the hardships of the independent scene, to sky-rocketing their careers, and dealing with backstage politics. We even offer the opportunity to portray the minds behind the scenes. The struggles to become a wrestler and to run a wrestling promotion in the modern world is a genre never fully explored- and it could mean a dosage of creativity. From portraying top wrestlers, aspiring athletes, business executives, celebrities etc- the opportunities in an industry with so many blurred lines cannot be clearer than ever.

RULES
BEAUTIFUL STRANGERS
PLEASE READ THE RULES CAREFULLY. THESE ARE HERE TO ENHANCE YOUR NAVIGATION OF THE SITE AND TO KEEP THINGS FAIR AND CLEAN.

WE OFFER YOU GREAT FREEDOM BUT WE ALSO EXPECT EQUAL RESPONSIBILITY.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK THE STAFF.

REGISTERING:
  • Please register first and last name in all capitals when making your account. Example: JOHN CENA. Nearly all characters have defined last names. If they don't, you can sign up with their first name only.

  • Fill out the contract correctly. All information required must be stated.

  • Reserving faces are valid for up to three (3) days only.

  • Make sure to read the rules over. We're a mature [M] roleplaying forum so sex, drugs, alcohol, and violence are all permitted. We are not very strict with limits, be aware of that.
POSTING:
  • Once accepted, make sure to post in all necessary claim threads. You know where to find them. This must be accomplished within the first seven (7) days.

  • All new players should have a roleplay post up within seven (7) days of acceptance or you will be moved to inactive. You can also submit a segment for the upcoming shows and that will be counted. Replies to reaction threads are considered posts.

  • We do not have a limit on how many characters you have - but you are required to have a minimum of fifteen (15) in-character posts (this does not include claims, games, ooc etc.) in order to pick up a new one. So active threads are a requirement.

  • We do not have a limit on how many characters you have- but we if you are going to pick up a succeeding character they must be clearly different from what you already have. The admins and the staff have a right to deny a succeeding character based on their discretion. We would like to be character-driven in terms of story-telling. Players who have multiple characters must be capable of handling various personalities and plots- not more of the same.

  • We'll do activity checks monthly - unless we're having an issue with people not posting. In this case - there may be some surprise checks before the month mark. This is to filter out who really wants to be here and who are just taking up faces and space.

  • Players who have not logged on within seven (7) days, without an LOA, will be considered inactive. All the player's accounts will be made inactive. We will expect a post within the next five(5) days, failure to do so will mean automatic deletion.

  • We do not have a word count here. We do, however, would like you to match the poster you are threading with. Balanced posting is best.

  • No godmodding, no powerplaying. No killing off characters / pregnancies / changing member groups without running it by staff first.

  • If you have mature content in your thread please put [M] on the thread title. If you don't like mature content, fine, you have the option not to read it.

  • Please be realistic - A very young character cannot have so many achievements in the field- though that is not completely impossible; it is quite a rarity. That will be preserved here.

  • Matches are not judged via promos or matches, however if you have not posted in character for the seven days prior to your match, your character will automatically lose. Results are based on a character's over-all site activity/the direction of any story lines your character is currently engaged in. However, if two (or more) consenting roleplayers wish to pursue a match in a traditional promo e-fed style, they must discuss it with the staff.

  • Always post in the third person POV.
JOBS AND ROLES:
  • Here you can have the freedom to choose what types of roles your characters can play. From being a wrestler/diva to an executive, intern etc. Just register it on the job claims page once you have decided.
GENERAL AND ACTIVITY:
  • Avatars are required and they must be 250x400. If you're unable to find or make one, ask the staff to make you one.

  • Make sure to fill out your mini-profile.

  • Respect both all of the staff and all of the members on the site. Most importantly - have fun!
Please note that Beautiful Strangers is a mature site. There will be themes that have intense focus on sex, drugs, violence, and other heavy material that may not be comfortable for everyone.
